Joe Stallings was born and raised in West Knoxville. Joe has had the distinct privilege of watching Knoxville and especially West Knoxville grow into the wonderful community it is today. When Joe was growing up, he attended the Farragut school system in West Knoxville. He watched as Farragut went from being referred to as the “Farragut Farmers” to being one of the most sought-after and desirable locations to live in the country. Yes, our little secret is out…. Knoxville is now a thriving business hub filled with wonderful lakes, beautiful neighborhoods, and surrounded by incredible mountains and streams. There is truly something for everyone here.
Joe was a very active kid growing up. He enjoyed all that East Tennessee had to offer from hiking and fishing in the beautiful Smokey Mountains to playing just about every sport available. He even donned a University of Tennessee football jersey for a little while. Joe still can be found on a tennis court, golf course, mountain trail, or even just lounging by a pool with his family and of course, the family dog, Kimber in his free time.
Growing up he got a unique look into business and sales. He watched as his mom started her career in Real Estate on a foundation of integrity and customer service. Both of Joe’s parents had businesses where customer service was always at the forefront of sales. Joe’s mom always did right by her clients and put their interests first. She always wanted to make the often frustrating task of finding and purchasing a new home as seamless and stress-free as possible. This is something that has stuck with Joe throughout his sales career. His father owned a well-known local Ford dealership, Dean Stallings Ford. Dean Stallings Ford was always known for their customer service as well. Joe learned early on in his life to treat people right and the way you would want to be treated. You see, Joe doesn’t want to just sell you this house. He wants to do right by you so he can sell you the next house as well. To Joe, the best compliment you can give him is a referral or for you to be a return customer.
Joe really cut his teeth in sales and customer service at his family dealership. He did everything from driving the parts truck to sales, to helping run the service department achieving multiple customer service awards from Ford. After several years at the dealership, Joe made a change. He took his customer service-driven mentality to the mortgage industry. He landed a job with First Tennessee Bank (First Horizon). Joe spent a year learning the ropes and gaining invaluable knowledge before the market crashed in 2008. After a year in the mortgage business, Joe joined his brother, Jon, in the beverage business. Jon had started a beverage company and together they set out on a journey of a lifetime. Jon and Joe took a small independent beverage all the way to the shelves of some of the most prominent grocery stores and convenience stores in the country. Not bad for a couple of “Farragut Farmers”. After several years in the beverage business, both Joe and Jon have decided to bring their “do the right thing” customer service approach to the Real Estate world.
